Allen photographs what he knows best, "Life in the American West". He has always made "The West" home and traveled extensively throughout. His life experiences and knowledge include, horse trainer, a one man/one horse ride from Canada to Mexico down The Rocky Mountains, big game outfitter, guide, rancher and World traveler.

Allen's work is based on his belief that "real life" is stranger and more interesting than fiction, especially in the American West. The American West is much more than just a physical location, it is a concept, a feeling and a way of being. Allen's models are real people and animals doing what they know best. All aspects of The West are captured but Allen is especially interested in the current changes the American West faces and its unique people and critters at work and play.

Allen lives and works out of his ranch west of Livingston, Montana.
After the first ten years of my childhood living in a quaint suburb of Salt Lake City, my parents decided that "Keeping up with the Joneses", was no longer part of the family plan. Risking our rather comfortable lifestyle, my family moved to Costa Rica to run a fly-tying factory near San Jose, the capital.

This move has been one of the biggest influences on my life. My senses were opened up to the beauty and horridness that the world can induce. Traveling from the pristine high mountain cloud forest to the chaotic hustle and bustle of down town San Jose was a frequent ritual in my family. The four years that I lived in Central America sparked my desire to observe and document the simple and profound wonders of the world, thus beginning my exploration into the art of photography.

Since my childhood I have grown to see the world through many different angles. I feel these perspectives play very important part of my character. As I capture the best possible frame through different angles, I have learned that this technique can, and should be, applied to life's challenges beyond the camera lens. The way a person overcomes these challenges is the key to their happiness and successes.
A native of Montana, I fell in love with landscapes at an early age. Growing up in a rural area gave me the access to explore my interest and grow my techniques, while visiting some of the most beautiful areas of the United State's Northwest and Southwest regions.
I spent my childhood exploring the backwoods of eastern Pennsylvania, walking and crawling among flora and fauna. At the age of 15 I started bringing an old Nikon with me on my excursions into nature. There, I reveled in nature's endless patterns and puzzles.

On a high school trip to Wyoming, I fell in love with the West. I decided then to move to Montana, and did so in the winter of 1995.

In Montana, I stumbled upon the wonderful challenge capturing people's vivacious personalities on film. In 2006 I began apprenticing with my business partner in portrait photography. With this exciting new endeavor, my goal is to create unique and unforgettable photos that will stand the test of time.
Dusan was raised in a small village in the Carpathian Mountains, where he spent his boyhood following in the footsteps of his father in a quest for trout, red deer and wild boar. He studied both forestry and photography in Presov, Slovakia. Mesmerized by stories of cowboys and Indians in the American Wild West, he eventually escaped the Communist regime of his homeland and today makes his home in Montana and loves it.
Jason was raised on the West Coast and has spent the last decade or so living in Montana. We originally moved to the state for a change of scenery and I don't think we realized at the time how lucky we were to be here in this great place. Montana is an amazing state and its landscapes and wilderness continue to inspire.

Self-taught in photography, Jason spends most of his time traveling, exploring new scenes around the west. He works as a free-lance and commercial photographer and resides in Helena, Montana.

Jeff's photography is marked by the creative and dramatic use of light and perspective. “My favorite shoots are when all those elements I’ve envisioned; the light, texture and feel come together with the action at this one perfect moment,” he says. Creating and capturing these soulful moments has defined Jeff’s success in the photography world and provides the fuel for new work.

Jeff spends much of his time traveling the western U.S. and around the world making iconic images for commercial and editorial clients. His photo credits are also worldwide with clients such as Columbia Sportswear, Mont-Bell Japan, Patagonia, Cloudveil and magazines such as National Geographic Adventure, Mens Journal, Backpacker Magazine and Oprah.

I was born and raised in Livingston, Montana and got my start in photography at the Livingston Enterprise where I was the weekend sports photographer. Mark is a photographer of fine art as it pertains to the West. As a third generation Montanan, Mark feels blessed to live in a home state that offers a never ending source of inspiration and opportunity. Most of his work is stock/assignment which provides dramatic images that are available as original prints, posters and a variety of cards.

As a native, he uses a discerning eye to capture the West as it truly is, allowing for detail and purity that will become part of a western legacy. He doesn't believe in contrived images, striving only for realism, “instead of portraying the West as fiction.” Whether it's a pristine trout stream, a rugged rodeo arena or riding behind a dusty herd of cattle, Mark captures it and translates it into images.

His commercial clients are impressive and cover a broad spectrum: American Express, U.S. Tobacco Company, Wrangler Jeans, HBO, Montana State University, Turner Broadcasting, J. Water Thompson Specialized Communications, Sports Illustrated, Gatorade, Spanish Peaks Brewing Company and Shiloh Sharps Rifle Manufacturing.
As a fifth generation Park County Montana resident, I grew up in the shadows of the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness. I was also a Boy Scout growing up and I spent a lot of time in the mountains. Just about every weekend I was either skiing at Bridger Bowl or backpacking into my favorite spots. Somewhere along the way I started taking photos of it all and came to love capturing the world through the lens of a camera. I have been a professional wedding photographer for well over 10 years, and have had the opportunity to photograph weddings all over the world. Up until now I haven't had an outlet for my other passion of landscape photography. But my partnership with Wild West Photos allows me to offer my images of this beautiful place I call home—and some other pretty nice places, too.
