2011 GLACIER NATIONAL PARK PHOTO WORKSHOP
Located in northwestern Montana, the rugged peaks and glacially carved valleys of this national park make it a prime destination for landscape photographers. Our photo workshops are based in the small town of St. Mary, providing us with easy access to Logan Pass via the spectacular Going-to-the-Sun Road, as well as the Many Glacier area just to the north. As with all of our courses the itinerary is designed to be flexible so we can accommodate for any unique photo opportunities that may occur along the way.
Glacier National Park was the 10th national park created in the United States and covers more than a million acres of pristine wilderness. The famed Going-to-the-Sun road reaches an elevation of 6,646 ft on its way over Logan Pass. This 50 mile journey through the park's interior offers incredible views from numerous roadside pullouts along the way offering plenty of chances to get out and soak up the landscapes. Wildlife in Glacier National Park is plentiful and we may encounter a wide variety of mammals including; mountain goats, bighorn sheep, wolves, lynx, elk, grizzly and black bears.
