1. Representation ~
Think of Wild West Photos as your personal ad agency. We are responsible for promoting your images to buyers from around the worldbuyers who need high-quality outdoor photography in order to market their own publications, products and services. Our website provides the link between photographers and buyers.
Photographers can choose to sell either Rights-Managed or Royalty-Free (Free-Range) photos, or a combination of both. Please let us know which of these options you are interested in and we will match your submission to those two categories.
Should you decide to have Wild West Photos market your work, please keep in mind that this is an ongoing commitment. Introducing new and existing photographers to potential buyers takes time and you should think of this as an long-term investment. As the website improves and the content grows everyone benefits, so we encourage you to submit new photos on a regular basis. We understand this may be a difficult task, but we urge you to consider adding at least 100-500 new images per year. This will keep potential buyers interested and will encourage them to visit the site on a regular basis.

2. Contribution Process ~
Wild West Photos is designed around simplicity so there are no hidden fees associated with your membership, just industry standard practices and pricing that ensure everyone is compensated fairly. If you are interested in becoming a contributing photographer, please follow these guidelines:

Prepare and submit your work according to the guidelines outlined below.

We will market your work through multi-channels (see "Our Marketing Approach" below).

You will receive 50% of each sale. You'll be paid monthly when your work sells. |

3. Payment ~ Featured Artist: 50/50 Split
Photographers will be entitled to fifty percent (50%) of all license fees collected as compensation for the sale of their images, and Wild West Photos shall retain the remaining fifty percent (50%). This allows us to continually maintain and improve the website, and provides the necessary resources for our ongoing marketing efforts. You are never charged a fee for our design, printing, or marketing efforts.
Wild West Photos will automatically track accounts payable lists using your online profile. We will generate monthly statements containing account activity, and will make payments to artists at the end of each month.
In order to market your photos effectively, Wild West Photos will require the limited rights to the photos you submit for the period specified in our contract. We do understand however, that these images may exist in your own personal marketing materials, as well as with other agencies, and we encourage you to continue using them in this manner. Photos submitted to Wild West Photos that exist in other distribution channels must be monitored closely during the period of this agreement in order to prevent overlapping sales. 4. Submission Process ~
Keywording of your digital images using a standard image editing programs like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Aperture by Apple.
Model release forms are the responsibility of each photographer. These should be kept as part of your records and can be sent to us if applicable.
Photographers should consider copyrighting their images with the U.S. copyright office. Wild West Photos represents, markets and sells each photographer’s work under the Wild West Photos copyright, but it is also important for each photographer to copyright their own work at some point. 5. Marketing ~
Recent statistics have shown that people are experiencing the outdoors in ever increasing numbers, creating a $730 billion industry, the third largest in the country. Outdoor enthusiasts are spending about $46 billion a year on products that are tied to their favorite activities.* We recognize this opportunity and we are directing our energies toward those companies who are responsible for promoting this growing industry. In order to attract these companies to our site, we have developed a wide array of materials to support this ongoing effort. Here are just a few:
1. Quarterly direct mail advertising campaigns
2. Monthly e-mail reminders to buyers 3. High-end promotional pieces
4. Web-based marketing through partnerships and strategic links

Should you decide to have us market your work, please keep in mind that this is an ongoing commitment by all parties involved. Introducing new and existing photographers to potential buyers takes time, and you should think of this as an long-term commitment. As the site improves and the content grows everyone will benefit, so we encourage you to submit new photos on a regular basis. We understand this may be a difficult task, but we strongly urge you to consider adding at least 200-300 new images per year. This will keep potential buyers interested and will encourage them to visit the site regularly..
